BaseCamp Expedition Pulk Sled

Engineered for environments where equipment failure is not an option. The BaseCamp is intentionally overbuilt to deliver rock-solid tracking through crusted snow, sheer ice, and tight timber. By eliminating side-slip, tipping, and load-drag, it allows you to maintain momentum, move efficiently, and focus on the route ahead.

KEY ADVANTAGES

• Uncompromising Stability & Tracking: Low-center-of-gravity hull design locks into line across steep side-hills and hardpack without fishtailing or rolling.

• Overbuilt & Field-Serviceable: Reinforced stress points, chromoly steel poles, and modular components ensure long-term durability on remote routes—built for years of demanding use.

• Zero-Interference Pole Geometry: Side-mounted poles keep rigid linkages clear of your hips and legs for a full, natural stride while skiing or snowshoeing.

• Rapid 2-Buckle Duffel Transition: The high-capacity main duffel detaches in seconds, keeping gear organized and speeding up campsite setups.

• Integrated Backpack Carry: Ergonomic straps let you instantly shoulder the sled to navigate river crossings, pressure ridges, and transit stations.

BUILT FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE

High-Density XLPE Hull

Rotomolded from Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) for extreme sub-zero impact resistance, structural rigidity, and smooth glide performance over abrasive, crusted terrain.

4130 Chromoly Pole & Linkage System

Utilizes high-strength 4130 chromoly steel tubing for the side-mounted tow poles. Engineered to withstand intense torsional forces and heavy shock loading on uneven terrain without bending or bowing under load.

Heavy-Duty 1,000D Cordura® Gear Protection

A high-volume 13,000 cu. in. main compartment built from 1,000-denier Cordura® nylon—delivering maximum tear strength and complete element protection for critical expedition gear.

Fully Adjustable Ergonomic Harness

Front and rear harness points distribute load weight evenly across your core, maintaining proper pole alignment across any waist size or winter clothing layer.

XLPE Sled Hull

Sled Hull Geometry

The sled hull was designed with advanced stability and traction. Engineered for maximum glide on flat and grip on sidehills and turns.

Seamless Hull Integrity

Our process yields a completely uniform wall profile, eliminating the stretched thin spots and failure points common in thermoformed hulls.

Chromoly Steel Poles

Built from high-grade 4130 chromoly steel. They weigh slightly more than aluminum alternatives, but the added strength and dependability are well worth it. If a pole is bent in the field, it can often be bent back into shape rather than failing outright.

Welded

Welded for a durable, dependable connection designed for years of hard use. The same class of steel is commonly used in roll cages and motorcycle frames.

Bent

The bend creates a yoke style pole system that improves sled handling, steering, and control while keeping the load centered behind the user.

Powder Coated

Our poles are finished with a baked-on powder coating for excellent resistance to chips, abrasion, and corrosion far more durable than ordinary paint.
